Sean Leary – Founder & CEO
Sean Leary, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member. Sean Leary has led Sports Thread to receive recognition last June as a “2019 Top Technology Company” (Intercon) as the first social networking and Software as a Service platform for the youth sports market. Sean has grown the company from writing its first wireframe and business plan while in college to having nine employees and nearly 100 licensed distributors, interns and contractors working on the Sports Thread business. Sean coordinates and implements all daily operations including, but not limited to, the development of the Sports Thread platform, client relations with over 75 leading youth sports organizations subscribed to the Sports Thread Software as a Service platform, the Sports Thread social network ecosystem, a license network of national territories spanning about half the United States, as well as all executive office and administrative functions. Sean is a former Division I baseball player for Oral Roberts University and won two NCAA conference championships. Prior to his college career, Sean was heavily recruited as a Colorado ESPN Rise Magazine All State baseball player. Sean graduated from Oral Roberts University in May 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Richard O’Donnell – Chief Marketing Officer
Richard O’Donnell is a veteran Silicon Valley executive who has played a key role in the launch of dozens of innovative products and categories. His expertise ranges from corporate marketing, brand management, media relations, PR, social media, and advertising. He has served as a marketing/PR consultant and collaborated on projects with more than 400 companies, including: Apple, Microsoft, Intel, Yahoo, Reuters, Cisco, FedEx, Coca-Cola, NutraSweet, Pebble Beach, and the San Francisco 49ers. Previously, he was Vice President of Corporate Marketing at BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle), TIBCO Software, and Borland Software. He also held senior marketing positions with WPP/Burson-Marsteller, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Purdue University.
Tab Evetts – Chief Technology Officer
Tab Evetts is a graduate of Park University with degrees in management and information systems. Mr. Evetts had a 30-year career spanning both military and civilian positions with EDS, IBM, DOD, and others in systems design and production control management. He also served in the Texas Air and Army National Guards and is a retired combat arms officer. Mr. Evetts enjoys spending time with family, RVing, golf, and traveling (for pleasure). He currently is based out of Schertz, TX (just outside San Antonio).
Ronald C. Voss – Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Board Member
Ronald Voss is currently the principal of Voss Financial Services, LLC located in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Voss graduated from the University of Denver in 1970. Mr. Voss is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Certified Senior Advisor. Mr. Voss worked for Coopers & Lybrand and attained the level of supervisor at that firm. He started his own accounting practice, Voss Financial Services, LLC, in 1988 and provides accounting, tax and retirement planning for individuals as well as accounting and tax services to small to medium sized businesses in various industries.
Bradley R. Parker – Board Member
Mr. Parker accepted a full football scholarship to the University of Colorado Boulder in 1979 where he played wide receiver for four years. While at CU, Mr. Parker was an active member in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. After graduation, Mr. Parker and his wife moved to Orange County, California. In 1984 Mr. Parker served as a Sales Manager at T&F/CHR Industries. Thereafter he was a Sales Manager at Chemfab for the next five years. In 1992 a new opportunity arose for the Parkers to move back to Denver, Colorado. Mr. Parker continued to serve as a Sales Manager for Chemfab for another two years. He was then offered the position of Branch Manager at Bron Tapes Holding, Inc. where he quickly distinguished himself as the top sales producer. Mr. Parker was instrumental in the formation of and served as President of Bron Aerotech, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bron Tapes.
Douglas Weiner – Board Member
Mr. Douglas Weiner has been a financial consultant for small business start-ups and nonprofit organizations since 2009. Mr. Weiner also served as Vice President of sales with TVME Music and developed their national distribution program from 2012 to 2013. Mr. Weiner was Founder, CEO, and Chairman of Education Funding Systems (EFS) from 2002 to 2009. The company was founded in 2002 to initiate the web-based resource development system known as the Team System. The Team System has raised more than 50 million dollars for athletic programs nationwide. Specifically, EFS worked directly with and for high schools and colleges for nearly 20 years; many of those clients use the technology system today. The Team System raised more than one million dollars for the University of Colorado Club Sports programs, a top ten club program in the country. In 2006 Mr. Weiner directed the development of the Team System Internet application working directly with software and hardware engineers. It was a first-of-its-kind resource development program. A similar process was used in the development of Sports Thread. Mr. Weiner served as Vice President of Sales at PRO Golf Schools and was instrumental in taking the company public in 2001, two months before the tragedy of 9/11. As Vice President, he raised nearly a million dollars in funding for that company and directed the business of selling executive golf schools to Fortune 500 companies.
William (Bill) G. Waters – Advisory Board Member
William G. Waters served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Corporate Strategy Officer of Molson Coors Brewing Company since May 23, 2008, and served as its Vice President until January 2011. Mr. Waters served as Controller of that company from September 2008 to October 2011. Mr. Waters served as the Chief Financial Officer of Coors Brewing Company since 2006; Vice President of Supply Chain 2005 to 2006; and Vice President of Finance from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Waters received an Accounting degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado in 1989.
Kevin Faulkner – Advisory Board Member
Kevin is a veteran Silicon Valley software executive, who has been acting as a strategic advisor to Sports Thread since 2016. As a corporate lawyer for 12 years, Kevin worked at leading Silicon Valley firms Wilson Sonsini and Morrison & Foerster. He specialized in IPO, M&A, tech licensing and other corporate work for companies such as BEA Systems, SDL, Cylink, Uniphase, and Hyundai Electronics. For 20 years, Kevin was a finance and communications executive at software companies BEA Systems (acquired by Oracle), Nuance Communications, and Apigee (acquired by Google). Most recently, Kevin was Managing Director of the west coast technology practice for leading national strategic communications firm ICR, advising SaaS companies such as MuleSoft (acquired by Salesforce), Veeva, Twilio, New Relic, Zoom, Avalara and Guidewire. Kevin received his J.D. from the University of Virginia and bachelor’s degrees from Fort Hays State University. Kevin recently retired to Pebble Beach, California, where he is focusing on philanthropic and entrepreneurial interests, investing and golf.
Roger Craig – Advisory Board Member
Three-time Super Bowl Champion and four-time Pro-Bowler, Roger Craig is VP of Business Development at TIBCO Software. Mr. Craig is the author of three books and gives motivational speeches on behalf of Fortune 500 companies including Nike, Pepsico, Gallo Sonoma, Cisco Systems, Reuters, Yahoo, Nortel, FedEx, Nissan, Progency Genetis Research, Burger King, Sprint, John Deere, Wal-Mart, Sears, Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Samsung.
James Kreutz – Advisory Board Member
James (“Jim”) Kreutz graduated from Colorado State University in 1963 and then graduated from South Texas College of Law, Houston, Texas in 1968. Mr. Kreutz passed the Colorado Bar Exam and was sworn in April 1969. He was appointed as Assistant Attorney General of Colorado from May 1969 to December 1974. He has been in private practice since 1975 focusing primarily in civil litigation and administrative law. Mr. Kreutz was appointed Douglas County Attorney in 1981 and served until 1989. He has taught Administrative Law in the paralegal program at Arapahoe Community College and taught Legal Writing and Administrative Law at University of Denver Law School. Mr. Kreutz is a member of Denver Southeast Rotary Club. He is married to Martha Hill Kreutz, who is a former State Representative of Colorado, and has three daughters, one of whom is a former Denver Magistrate.
Vance R. Andrus, Esq. – Advisory Board Member
Vance is a 1972 graduate of the LSU Law School where he served on the Law Review and as the legal research assistant to Professor George Pugh and a former U.S. Army First Lieutenant. Vance worked as a defense lawyer before founding the plaintiff firm Andrus Wagstaff, and has extensive trial experience both as plaintiff and defense counsel. Since 1980, Vance has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell the “Highest Rating in both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards.” Vance is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by “America’s Top 100 Attorneys organization.” He also was chosen as one of the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers Association.” He also received The Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Outstanding Achievement in the Reserve Officers Training Corps Program. He was selected as a Lifetime Member of the Trial Masters Association. Vance was named “10 Best Attorneys 2017 – Colorado” by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys for exceptional and outstanding client service.
Derrick Martin – Advisory Board Member
Two-time Super Bowl Champion, Derrick Martin today is a real estate professional and is skilled in working with nonprofit organizations, coaching, sales, and event management. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming. He is currently head football coach at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, Colorado.
Beth Wilderotter – Advisory Board Member
A medical industry executive and former competitive gymnast, Ms. Wilderotter was a charter member of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (“DBC”). She performed at Super Bowl XXXII in 1998. Ms. Wilderotter was a Universal Dance Association (“UDA”) National Dance Instructor and choreographer for the Denver University cheerleaders and many high school dance/cheer teams. She is a mother of three, ranging from a senior in high school to a third-grade student, all of whom are passionately following their own chosen sports, which include soccer, baseball, football, and yes, competitive dance.
Jay Howarth – Advisory Board Member
Based in Los Angeles, Ms. Howarth is an award-winning producer, director and actress who has staged some of the most iconic moments in pro sports history. She has been awarded two Super Bowl Rings, three game balls, and an Olympic Gold Medal. Ms. Howarth has produced 300 stadium shows for sports industry giants including 150 NFL events; 65 NBA, World Cup Soccer, FIFA, 35 MLS Soccer and three U.S. Olympic Games. Ms. Howarth currently produces live, multi-media events in Hollywood for TV and Film, music, fashion and theater. She has directed stages for the biggest stars of our time including John Travolta, Dustin Hoffman, Jamie Foxx, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Elton John, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars.
Orlando Poole – Advisory Board Member
Orlando Poole was born and raised in inner city Detroit, Michigan. As one of six children, Orlando was extremely active in sports playing football, basketball and studying martial arts throughout high school. He played Semi-Pro football with the Colorado Warriors. As a hospital administrator, Orlando stays busy with his Monday through Friday job. However, Orlando has made a career for himself as a professional singer with his band named Tunisia, one of the top bands in the Denver, Colorado area. Major milestones in Orlando’s career as lead singer for Tunisia have been performing at President Barack Obama’s Presidential Inauguration in 2009, at the Democratic and Republican Conventions in 2008, and playing for the Democratic and Republican Conventions again in 2016.
Bill McCartney – Advisory Board Member
Coach Bill “Mac” McCartney was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013. Coach McCartney retired as the winningest coach in the University of Colorado’s football history. Coach “Mac” transformed a football program in Boulder that won just 14 games over a six-year span into one that claimed three Big 8 Conference titles and the 1990 consensus national championship. He won the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award in 1990. Coach McCartney currently has a limited role with the company due to illness.
